I've been enjoying a return to what started as my 100 day project, hand piecing my Merrow Croft quilt (pattern by Margaret Mew). If you haven't done any hand piecing before, I have a how-to with lots of tips in my hand piecing tutorial. Using some of my treasured hand printed fabrics by Karen Lewis and Lucy Engels, I'm enjoying the neutral cool vibe of these pieces.

I recently got a few stitchy bits and bobs to help set me up for stitching projects this year. It's custom for me to share, mostly to document the details of things for my own record but also to give recommendations. I'd also love for you to share what items you have tried / use / love in the comments because there's nothing better than word of mouth!
First up is this lot from Lakeside Needlecraft. An 11" Q Snap frame, I already have an 8" that I love and I plan on having a couple of cross stitch ...

And being home I try to keep to my 15 Minutes to Stitch challenges but some days I just don't have the energy. So I've decided to change my reporting way just so I will DO it. This week I did my stitching on 5 days so that's 83.33% (my

I only go out about once every ten days usually just to use the car. Surprisingly, most days it doesn't bother me to be home with DH doing things around the house, or reading, or quilting, or gardening, or working on a jigsaw puzzle, Here's the one we just

read moreHello, friends. My top is done! As a pattern tester for Faith and Fabric I was thrilled to make this Lenten quilt top which was just right for my expanding liturgical series of quilts. It really spoke to me. I'm naming it No Greater Love. The on-point blocks remind me of the hymn "O Sacred Head Surrounded" when we sing "yet angel-hosts adore thee, and tremble as they gaze." Worked every day this week on quilty stuff! So I know I have 7 of 7 days this week (100%) for 15 Minutes To Stitch 2019. And also 5 of 5 days so far this month (100%). I have no idea where I"m at for the year as I missed

I love this pretty pouch. Yumi is a very talented sewer and quilter.
She sent these fun Japanese prints. I adore these!
Look at the cute selvage!
Anyone remember cassette tapes?
The English on Japanese prints are notorious and hilarious. It's one of the reasons I love them.
Come on smiled!!
I conclude this post with proof I really am a silly teenage girl. Taylor Swift polka dot Keds. Yes. They were on sale, but I might have paid full price if I. Maybe ... read more
